Novice Nearly 100 of these 10-week courses have been taught around Michigan in the past 11 years. With an emphasis on conversation skills, the curriculum is useful
to students who have never learned Spanish and to those who have taken Spanish but need a refresher with medical terminology and usage. Students use
critical thinking to design phrases and personalized scripts to communicate in their clinical setting. Each class also incorporates a cultural discussion to help
students better understand how to work with Spanish-speaking patients. Up to 20 CME's are available for physicians. Pre-requisite: None Target audience:
Healthcare providers with no Spanish experience or those who have taken Spanish classes and wish to learn medical terminology and usage. Take-away tools: Workbook and audio CD

Description: This introduction to Spanish class allows students to learn medical terminology and phrases to ask standard questions and provide basic instructions. No grammar is taught,
rather participants learn to use templates to tailor phrases and scripts for personal use. This is a great class if you are unsure if you want to commit to a longer course or if you question
